Well, I suppose its time for my yearly LJ update. I would like to say things are better than they were at this time last year, but its not even close. It's been almost 2 years now since I graduated, and I still have not found a job. I mean, yeah I go to work every day, and earn money, but its only a temp position (that a monkey could do) with no benefits. I must have applied to hundreds of jobs in that time period, and I can count the number of interviews I've made it to on one hand. On top of that I was informed today by my boss that his boss has told him that they will be letting temps go in the very near future due to budget cuts. That means I have maybe 1 or 2 weeks tops until I am unemployed completely. On top of that Dianna still doesn't have a job despite her constant looking for literally ANY JOB. Needless to say a household can not pay the bills when neither member is working. So, in order to hopefully help find a job I'm going to ask you guys for help. Here's my resume. I have a BS in Psychology, experience in management, Marketing, secretarying and a bit of freelance game writing work. If anyone knows of any job openings that I even remotely qualify for I would love to hear about it.

A year in review.

Well, it's been a little over a year since my last update, so I suppose its time for my annual LJ post.

Lets see, I graduated in December with a B.S. in Psychology. It is a useless degree. I've been looking for real employment for the past 10 months with no success. I've been holding back the bills with a temp job at Tech, but its only good for a year before they have to let me go.

On a related, and completely awesome, note I just got an internship with White-Wolf. That place is insanely awesome to work at. They have a corporate chef, every night of the week theres something to do after work, whether its Halo 3, an RPG, or office MMO night. Its really cool get an inside look at the functioning of one of my favorite companies. Im a Marketing and CCG intern, which means I do a lot of bitch work and write articles for the EVE CCG website. Its pretty fun so far, but unfortunately its also unpaid, which means I have to divide my time between it and the crappy job at Tech, and am making less money to boot.

On a totally unrelated, but even more awesome note, I'm getting married. To the most awesomest person ever. In just a few short days. I'm totally supper stressed about it. Theres so much stuff to do, and too much lazy going around for me to get everything done. The wedding is this Saturday, and then on Monday we hop on a plane and fly down to Disney World for a week.

Today we go to the courthouse to get all the paperwork straitened out.

Well, I've been pretty busy lately getting everything ready for Valdosta. I'll probably be moving down there early August. I've been spending most of my free time with Dianna, and have never been happier. This weekend we died my chin hair blue. Well, lots of stuff happend this weekend. The good was the best ever, and the bad was well, pretty damn bad. Friday after I get home from work i talked to Michael and he wanted me to go over and help out with the truck and stuff, so I get out there as quick as I can. Unfortunately its not quick enough, and by the time I get there they are already done and gone. So, I drive over to Dianna's house to wait untill she gets home at 4. Well, 4 comes and goes, and she still isnt there. Around 5:30 she arives, and following behind her is Jason. It turns out that he showed up unannounced at her work at 4 and was planning on going to NERO with her. Well, suffice it to say I have a slight nervous breakdown. I stay outside, and Dianna's mom stays out with me and we have a nice talk. Dianna says she is realy sorry about everything, and explains that they were short handed at work and they needed her to stay, and that Jason had just shown up and she had no idea that we was going to.
Well, Jason suggests we all carpool, but Dianna tells him no, and for him to just go on without us. So he leaves, and I was still recovering, so its all a bit fuzzy in my memory, but Dianna tells me that she realized last Tuesday that what she feels for me is real, and that what she was feeling for Jason was just an infatuation, and this incident just reinforced that belief, and that she was goign to wait untill sunday to tell me, but SHE AGREED TO MARRY ME!!!!! Weee! *spins* Yay!
So we go to the event, and she goes off to have a talk with Jason. When she comes back she doesnt look happy, and tells me she has some bad news. Well, its pretty bad, but its not like she did anything wrong, she was single. So time goes buy and we are all busy setting up the tavern, but eventualy Dianna says that me her and Jason need to talk. Well, I try, but its all I can do to keep myself from pummeling the man. I tell Dianna to tell him to stay away from her and to get out of our lives completely, because I dont think I could handle it. She says she will try. Well, she cant do it, the best she can tell him is to respect my wishes. He tries to tell me that she has made her choice and he will respect our relationship, but I cant believe that considering the respect he showed our relationship when he first met Dianna. He said he would respect my wishes, but I'm still doubtfull. I just want the man to go away and never talk to her again, and I want her to agree with me that he should just go away. Unfortunately she still thinks that they can be friends, but she is willing to not talk to him for as long as I need her to. I'm not sure I will ever be ready. Well, the rest of the weekend was great! Had fun, and I loved spending time with Dianna. I r luv her sooo much. back to work now.

I dont know what to say. Things recently have been alternately wonderfull and sad. I've been talking to and seeing Dianna much more recently. We are so totaly in love with each other. Its the greatest feeling in the world to look into her eyes and see the joy back in her heart.
Unfortunately all is not well. We are still apart, and she is still seeing other guys. I know she needs this, but it is tearing me apart. Last night we went by Michael and Katy's to learn how to prepare feast for this weekend. Most of the night was spent hanging out and was wonderfull. There were a couple of exceptions though. When we first got there M&K weren't there yet so we went to see Shawn, a friend of Dianna's who happens to live in the same appartment complex. Shawn is a great guy, and realy nice, but just being there was hard on me. See, he is one of the guys that Dianna is going on dates with. Honestly, however, it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Sure the jelousy was there, but it was much more manegable than it has been in the past. I guess if Dianna were to end up with someone other than me I would like it to be him.
After we are all done with the food stuff I take Dianna home. It's pretty late and we are both yawning the whole way to her house, and I get here there at about one thirty. We say our goodbyes, and I get back in the car to head home and suddenly I am hit with this huge wave of sadness. I almost break down right there, but I manage to make it home (2:30 am) and crawl into bed before breaking down. I dont think it was anything specific that caused it, just a general sense that things are not as they should be.

Was one of the most wonderfull days of my life. After work I went over to Dianna's house to pick her up and take her out on a date. I presented her with a rose, a stuffed animal, and a small wrapped jewelry box. Inside the box was a sterling silver necklace with a heart shaped pendant. She liked =). Next we go out to the car where waiting for her in the passenger seat is a book containing all the refrences between Steven Kings Dark Tower serise. She also likes. Unfortunately I also left out the directions on how to get to where we are going, and she finds out that the date is going to Fernbank. =).
On the way to there we talk a bunch and I come to the realization that she is not ready for what I have planned, so I formulate a new one. We walk around Fernbank, looking at the exibits, and she remarks that she remembers why she loves me so much. It makes me happy. =) We eventualy take a walk down the nature trail that they have out there, and when we get to a suitably romantic spot (a pond), I pause and ask her to pick a hand. Well, she picks a hand before I can decide wich one represents the new plan, and wich one represents the old plan, so I just say screw it and ask her if she wants the old or the new. She says new. (good choice!).

So, a stop, put my hands on her shoulders, and tell her that the next thirty seconds arent going to happen. The next thirty seconds are going to be what I had planned on happening, and to just ignore them. I reach into my pocket and pull out a box, and open it up. Inside the box is a diamond ring, and I say "I was going to bring you out here and ask you to marry me, but on the ride over here I realized that you still need your time to be free and to date other guys. Suffice it to say she is floored. Happy, but stunned. I close the box, and slip it into her pocket, and tell her that whenever she is certain that she wants to spend the rest of her life with me all she has to do is slip the ring on. We walk back to the planitarium and watch the show. After the show we drive back to my end of town and go to my brothers graduation. It is rainy and boring, but after my brother walks, me and Dianna skip out and I drive her back to her end of town. (her mom wants her home by 11) After we get back we head over to Roadhouse and we talk a bunch. She loves me tons, and I love her just as much. When I asked her if I had waited untill the end of the date and just flat out asked her to marry me, she said she would have probably said yes, but she was apreciative that I gave her the time to experiance more of the single life. I also made the comment that I was floored by the fact that there was a 95% chance that I was going to one day be married to her, and she said she could find no fault with that assesment. *grinz and spinz* I was on cloud 9 the whole date with her and have yet to come down. I love her so much!

She has a date tonight with Jason (she had planned it before our date), and when I asked her if she minded posting this in my LJ she said it was up to me. When I told her it might ruin her date with Jason, she said she knows and that it was still up to me and she wouldnt be the least bit upset if I made the post. I decided however that I dont want to ruin her fun, so I waited untill now (when the date is already under way) to make the post. Now if this causes problems between her and him, it will be after she has already had a good time.

Did I mention that I love her so much that I will do anything for her? =)
